How to Create Your Own Microsoft Windows Vista User Account Pictures

    • 1). Open the folder containing the image file that you want to use as your Vista account picture.

    • 2). Right-click the file, and click "Copy."

    • 3). Click the "Start" button, and then click "Computer."

    • 4). Double-click your computer's C drive. Double-click the folder titled "ProgramData."

    • 5). Double-click the folder named "Microsoft."

    • 6). Double-click the folder titled "User Account Pictures," and then double-click the "Default Pictures" folder.

    • 7). Right-click inside the "Default Pictures" folder, and click "Paste" to copy your image to the folder. Close the window when finished.

    • 8). Click the "Start" button, and then click "Control Panel."

    • 9). Click "User Accounts."

      Click "Change Your Picture."

    • 11

      Click on your custom picture in the window that appears to set it as your user account picture.
