- 1). Open the folder containing the image file that you want to use as your Vista account picture.
- 2). Right-click the file, and click "Copy."
- 3). Click the "Start" button, and then click "Computer."
- 4). Double-click your computer's C drive. Double-click the folder titled "ProgramData."
- 5). Double-click the folder named "Microsoft."
- 6). Double-click the folder titled "User Account Pictures," and then double-click the "Default Pictures" folder.
- 7). Right-click inside the "Default Pictures" folder, and click "Paste" to copy your image to the folder. Close the window when finished.

Click on your custom picture in the window that appears to set it as your user account picture.
