Problems Relating to Eye Area

The eyes are the mirrors to our soul, so maybe that's the reason why the skin around our eyes is more delicate and demands far more special attention. The skin around the eyes is the thinnest we have and the three main problems that occur, sometimes simultaneously are: puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines/wrinkles. Our goal is to provide a detailed explanation about the causes of each of these different issues along with give our readers the tools they need to overcome, defeat, and learn to €put their eye€ on the prize of reaching smooth, clear looking, skin.

The first hump we must tackle is puffiness. It is very common to see bulging, chubby looking skin, puffing particularly around the lower area of the eye. There are many causes to this occurrence but according to dermatologist Valerie Goldburt, MD, PhD, of NYU Langone Medical Center. "We have the thinnest skin around our eyes, so it's the area that's most influenced by the in-and-out flow of fluids€. A dinner heavy with salty food or a night of crying while watching a tearjerker movie can cause morning-after puffiness. The reason is osmosis. "Water always travels from areas in the body where there's low salt concentration to tissues where there's more salt, Goldburt explains. That principle holds true whether the salt comes from tears or from soy sauce. This phenomenon creates mild edema in the face. Edema is excess fluid buildup in soft tissue, which appears as a swelling.

In many cases we see that puffiness goes hand in hand with another culprit famous for affecting millions of people on a daily basis. Notorious for making people look €tired€, dark circles are caused by the visibility of capillaries and veins through the thin skin surround the eye socket. As we age, our skin becomes thinner and drier. As a result, the veins under the eyes look more prominent through the skin, giving the black color under the eyes. This problem is common and there are many ways to get rid of that tired, worn out look.

The last eye issue is also the hardest to tackle. It is one that is easier to prevent than to reverse. It is one that doesn't discriminate between men or women, where we are from in the world, or what we do for a living. It is a common denominator among all of mankind and everyone reaches a point where they will face it when standing in front of a mirror. Fine lines and wrinkles, affect everyone at a certain point in their life. Aging is the cause, and regardless of what health tips we follow, which exercises we do, or what we eat, age is a constant and time keeps going no matter what. The way it affects the eye skin is just like it affects all areas of our body, especially visible in the face. Even around the eyes, our skin is made up of three layers: the outermost layer everyone can see called the epidermis, the middle layer called the dermis and the innermost layer called the subcutaneous. When we're young, we don't have wrinkles because the skin does a great job of stretching and holding in moisture. The dermis has an elastic quality thanks to fibers called elastin that keep the skin looking and feeling young. A protein in the dermis called collagen also plays a part in preventing wrinkles. However, over time, the dermis loses both collagen and elastin, so skin gets thinner and has trouble getting enough moisture to the epidermis. The fat in the subcutaneous layer that gives skin a plump appearance also begins to disappear, the epidermis starts to sag, and fine lines and wrinkles form.

If you are encountering these issues, it is important to know that you are not alone. In fact, millions of people worldwide deal with the same, puffy, dark, crinkly skin under the eyes, and furthermore, millions of people spend millions of dollars trying to fix it. The reality of the situation is that money can't buy happiness, and even with a line of dermatologists attacking the problem and raking in the dough, the responsibility on how our eyes look is completely in our hands and based on our decisions. In the next informative letter you will receive great tips, tools, and exercises that you can utilize to take control of your problems and turn them into solutions. Seeing a difference in the skin, means feeling a difference in our confidence, strengthening our strut and juicing up our mojo.
