- 1). Turn your guitar's volume control to "2." Plug an instrument cord into the guitar.
- 2). Plug the other end of the instrument cord into the effect unit into the "Send" or "IN" jack. Set the volume control on the effect unit, if applicable, at level "3."
- 3). Plug another guitar cord into the "Return" or "Out" jack on the effect unit.
- 4). Plug the other end of the guitar cord into the amplifier. Set the gain volume control to "4." Set the volume control to level "5."
- 5). Turn on the balanced amplifier and the effect unit.
