While you are in the shower blow your nose gently to remove all secretions.
Placing a warm wash cloth over your nose may produce similar effect to relieve discomfort.
Nasal Irrigation This technique may seem uncomfortable to apply but it is a way of flushing out thick and infected secretions with salt water.
You can use a neti pot, a bulk syringe or the more expensive nasal irrigation device.
Another method is to sniff salt water with the palm of your hand if you need to ease your discomfort.
Drink Fluids You can drink any fluid but they must be hot as the heat works to shrink the membrane and thin mucus for easy drainage.
A tea made with lemon and honey is a popular recipe to reduce the symptoms or you can make chicken soup which is an age-old recipe.
Ginger with sweet basil is another healthy tea that can reduce your clogged sinuses.
Use A Saline Spray Spraying with saline solution directly in your nose help to kill any infection, break up stubborn mucus and to stop your sinuses from drying out.
Eat Spicy Food Have you ever eaten hot and spicy food that cause you to have watery eyes and runny nose? Many spices such as hot peppers, curry spices, garlic and onion are natural decongestants.
They may produce a burning sensation within your mouth but the effects are beneficial for sinus sufferers such as thin nasal secretions and open the nasal passage.

Alternatively, you can boil a pot of hot water and poured into a bowl to breathe in the steam.
Sleep With Head Elevated You can reduce clogged nasal in the night by keeping your head elevated on a couple of pillows to make breathing more comfortable and to reduce some pressure in your sinuses.
