- 1). Prick 4 or 5 holes in the top of 2-liter bottle using the push pin.
- 2). Pour the used motor oil into the bottle. Place the cap onto the bottle and twist it back on tightly.
- 3). Prick 4 to 5 holes at the bottom of the 2-liter bottle to enable air flow throughout the bottle.
- 4). Place the refuse bucket under the 2-liter bottle.
- 5). Hold the 2-liter bottle above the refuse bucket. The air flow should propel the water out into the refuse bucket order to separate it from the used motor oil.
