Instructions for the iRiver T10

    Manual Process

    • 1). Insert the battery by opening the battery cover on the back of T10. Place the battery according to the + and -- signs, matching those of the battery and iRiver battery compartment.

    • 2). Find and locate the power button on the front side of player. Hold the key in to power on the player. Place the CD that comes with the player in the computer DVD/CD device. Wait for the driver installation to automatically start, or open it by going to "Start," "My Computer" and clicking the CD/DVD device. Follow the on-screen installation prompts and fill out the registration information. Connect the iRiver T10 to the computer with the USB cable when prompted by the installation CD. Insert the USB cable connection into an available USB port after the installation finishes if you were not prompted for it.

    • 3). Turn off the player and restart it, while maintaining the power button pressed in. Note the "Function" mode on the iRiver screen. Use the arrow signs to select the desired function.

    • 4). Connect the iRiver to the computer with a USB cable to perform media transfers. Wait for the computer to start detecting the device.

    • 5). Transfer the files manually by going to "Start" opening the "My Computer" folder and double-clicking the new memory drive you see there. Make a new folder by right-clicking on the new drive and choosing "New" then "Folder."Name the folder in the appropriate box.

    • 6). Open the hard drive and locate the media files in the folders you saved them to. Right-click the files and select "Copy" from the drop-down list. Go to the iRiver media window and right-click in a blank area of the window. Select "Paste" from the list of drop-down options.

    Automatic Synchronization

    • 1). Install the batteries in the iRiver following the battery slot diagram instructions. Install the media player drivers in the computer by inserting the CD that came with the media player in the DVD/CD device. Allow the installation to start automatically and follow the on-screen installation directions. Click "Finish" when the installation completes.

    • 2). Connect the iRiver to the computer via the USB cable that came with the media player, if the installation program did not prompt you to connect it. Wait for the iRiver to be detected automatically by the computer.

    • 3). Start the synchronization process with your Windows media player. Open the media player by going to "Start" and "Programs." Click the "Library." Note the detailed list of media files.

    • 4). Click "add media files" to have the media player automatically find the media files on the hard drive, if you don't see a medial list.

    • 5). Prepare the media files to be sent to the iRiver by right-clicking on the files you want and selecting "add to Sync list." Continue the same process for other songs you want to listen to on your T10 Player.

    • 6). Click the "Sync Media" button and select the T10 as the target device when you finish selecting the music you want on the iRiver. Click "Start Sync" and the transfer will be initiated. Note the progress through the pop-up progress bar. Wait for the completion message when the transfer is successful. Unplug the data cable and play the media files from the iRiver T10 Player.
