- 1). Wash the 4-by-8 Hardipanel, using a pressure washer. Let the Hardipanel dry for four hours.
- 2). Position a drop cloth beneath the 4-by-8 Hardipanel. Inexpensive plastic drop cloths may blow up; avoid this problem by using a thick, heavyweight canvas drop cloth.
- 3). Carefully place tape on surfaces directly adjacent to the Hardipanel. Be sure to use a low-tack painter's tape; other types of tape may peel up or leave sticky adhesive residues behind upon removal.
- 4). Stir the primer for 60 seconds. Add ¼ gallon of primer to a paint tray.
- 5). Apply latex primer to the 4-by-8 Hardipanel, using a roller. Start on the left side of the panel and roll vertically. Let the Hardipanel dry for two hours.
- 6). Wash out your brush, using a water hose.
- 7). Paint the 4-by-8 Hardipanel as you primed it. Use an acrylic latex paint formulated for exterior weather conditions.
