- 1). Buy whole grain oat groats from your local health food store in the bulk bin section.
- 2). Pour 1 cup of oat groats into a food processor or a blender at a time. Use the large steel blade if you are using a food processor.
- 3). Turn on for a few seconds until the groats are just cut two or three times. If you process for too long, it will become a powder.
- 4). Cook your steel cut oats as you would with the store bought kind.
