Marketing Plan Product
My marketing plan consists of selling T-Shirts to consumers. T-shirts are always changing in style. About 6 years ago the so called "Clever T-Shirts" started to appear in stores. These Tees have little to no design on them, but they have some phrase on them such as "You got me out of bed for this?!" At the beginning of this fad these t-shirts were only sold online or at stores that appeal to rebellious adolescents such as Spencer's Gifts. However, it did not take long for these "clever" shirts to become common in most clothing stores. By the time 6 year olds thought it was cool to wear these shirts the average consumer began to realize that they were not so cool anymore. This cooling for the market has lead to a gap in the t-shirt industry that has not been filled wholly by one type of shirt. Shirts promoting bands remain popular and ringer t-shirts have come back in style but my t-shirts will fill the gap that was left by the absence of "clever" t-shirts. My product is a simple white t-shirt with the words "The Great T-Shirt Countdown" written in black letters on the front, and with a unique number printed on the back. The First t-shirt made will have the number 100,000 printed on the back and each subsequent shirt will have its own number decreased by 1 from the previous shirt. These t-shirts will be made of 100% cotton, machine washable, and with a printed tag on the inside of the shirt. Sizes will be in the standard range of extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large. There will be no warranty of any kind will come with the shirt. People will purchase these shirts because of their simple design and the unique experience and participation that wearing these shirts will deliver to them. Steps will need to be taken in order to insure that other competitors will not attempt to replicate the idea of individually numbered shirts, but I am unsure if a copyright can protect this.
