- 1). Wash your hands with warm water and antibacterial soap.
- 2). Rinse the bottles with cold water after each feeding. Wash the bottles with hot water and a liquid dish soap. Use a bottle brush to remove the milk from inside the bottle, and turn the nipples inside out to clean them thoroughly with warm water.
- 3). Clean your microwave thoroughly before sterilizing the baby bottles. Foods cooked in your microwave can stick to the nipples and the bottles.

Place the baby bottles and nipples in the microwave bottle sterilizer.The microwave bottle sterilizer is a plastic container that has a locking lid that traps the steam from the water to sterilize the bottles. Follow the directions that come with the product to ensure that you place them in the sterilizer correctly. You will need to fill the sterilizer with the appropriate amount of water so that it can steam and sterilize the bottles.
- 5). Rinse the nipples with an equal amount of vinegar and water regularly. This will sanitize the nipples in between sterilizing the bottles.
- 6). Store the bottles in a clean and dry environment. Keep the nipples covered to prevent dirt and dust from collecting on them.
