- 1). Hold the lens in firmly in your hand. Avoid holding the lens with any tool that can scratch or damage it.
- 2). Place the lens into the frame. Make sure you place it in the right direction. When you place the lens into the frame, do it from inside the frame and not from the outside.
- 3). Squeeze the edges of your lens into the frame -- gently but firmly -- with the pads of your fingers. Use both hands to pop them back into place. If you find that you have to exert a lot of pressure, it may be best to take them back to your optometrist's office to have them professionally reinserted.
If your glasses are rimless, then you should pull the thin, clear line around the edge of the lens and carefully place it into the carved groove. If the line fits loosely, use your Phillips-head screwdriver to tighten the screw that holds the line on the frame. If the line is broken, you will need to have it professionally repaired.
