Tips on How to Be Girly

    Makeup

    • The right makeup and hairstyle can make you more girly. Make long flirty eyelashes a staple. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and lengthen with mascara. Apply pink lip gloss to accentuate your lips or red lipstick for a sexy, timeless look. Don't be afraid to experiment with makeup, as it is also considered girly. Rim your eyes with eyeliner for modern-girl smokey eyes, or draw a line along the upper eyelashes to resemble cat eyes. Apply blush to your cheeks for a rosy glow.

    Hair

    • Your hair can bring out your femininity. If you have short hair, allow it to grow to at least shoulder length. Wear it straight or make soft curls with rollers or a curling iron. Avoid product buildup; you should easily be able to run your hands through your hair. If you prefer to have short hair, have it styled in a girly crop; a bob, pixie or a short-layered hairstyle can all look girly.

    Dress

    • Baggy clothes, sneakers and combat boots do not make a girly girl. Try adding dresses, long skirts, and medium-length A-line skirts to your wardrobe. Wear clothes that are form-fitting, but not too tight and don't be afraid to show a little skin. Floral patterns are very girly, as are peasant blouses and ruffled tops. Finish off your look with high to medium-high heels. Pretty lingerie beneath your clothes will instantly make you feel more feminine, so will pink colors, lace material and small bows.

    Add Finishing Touches

    • Complete your girly look with finishing touches, like earrings and necklaces, scarves and handbags. Have fun accessorizing, but don't overdo it; if you wear a pretty necklace, don't cover it up with a scarf in an effort to look more girly. A floral perfume helps bring out your girly side. Spray it on your pulse points, including your wrists and neck. Use fanny packs and bulky backpacks only when traveling. Instead, choose a stylish handbag that holds your girly essentials, including makeup, mirror, cell phone, wallet and comb.

    Act Like a Girl

    • Your girly look must go together with girly behavior. Do girly things; go shopping with girlfriends, share the latest gossip, discuss boys, giggle and have fun. Spoil and pamper yourself; get facials, visit the hair salon, get pedicures and manicures, and take relaxing baths. Avoid masculine behavior such as talking out loud and pounding fists when greeting friends. Don't fear being girly. When you feel girly on the inside and it will show on the outside.
