- 1). Purchase a commercial liquid drain cleaner with a thick consistency for sink clogs with standing water. The thick consistency of the liquid drain cleaner will be able to sink through the standing water and dissolve the clog in your sink.
- 2). Purchase a commercial foaming drain cleaner for a sink clog that does not have standing water. The foaming drainer cleaner will expand in your sink's drain in order to dissolve any clogs that are present in the drain.
- 3). Try a homemade solution of baking soda and vinegar in order to clear your sink clog. Pour a cup of baking soda down your sink's drain followed by a cup of vinegar. As these ingredients mix, they will form a foaming reaction that will loosen the clog in your sink. Pour several cups of boiling water down your sink's drain to flush out the sink clog after these ingredients have finished reacting with one another.
