If you drop fresh zucchini on your shirt, there won't be much a problem. It's the other "stuff" we add to zucchini that can cause stains.
First, use a dull knife or a spoon to remove any excess zucchini and/or sauce from your garment. As soon as possible, flush the stain with cold water. Pretreat the stained area with a prewash stain remover and launder as usual. Check the stained area before putting the garment in the dryer because high heat can set the stain.
Repeat the treatment steps.
If your zucchini was covered in a cheese sauce or oily salad dressing, you may need to follow even more steps to ensure the stain can be removed.
If the garment is dry clean only, point out and identify the stain to your professional cleaner. If you are using a home dry cleaning kit, be sure to treat the stain with the provided stain remover before putting the garment in the dryer bag.
