- 1). Soak a sponge with white distilled vinegar, and scrub over the area of mold inside the dishwasher.
- 2). Pour 1 cup vinegar into a dishwasher-safe bowl and place it on the highest dishwasher shelf.
- 3). Run the dishwasher through the shortest wash cycle. The vinegar will disperse and splash over the walls of the dishwasher, killing mold and mildew. This is also a good way to disinfect and deodorize the dishwasher in general, and should be repeated monthly.
