- 1). Place the wreath form on a flat working surface. Measure the distance from one side of the wreath form to the other.
- 2). Untwist the coat hangers to separate the ends. Straighten the wires with your hands and the pliers as much as possible. Cut a piece of wire from one of the hangers that is two inches longer than the wreath form measurement.
- 3). Twist the ends of the cut hanger around the wreath form to create the base for the centerline of the peace sign. Using pliers, twist the ends securely onto opposite sides of the form. The piece should be directly in the center of the wreath form. The form should now be a circle with a straight line of wire hanger running down the center.
- 4). Hold the remaining coat hanger to the wreath form to measure the length of the peace sign legs. Place one end of a hanger about 2/3 of the way down the centerline. Place it at a 45-degree angle so it reaches out past the bottom of the wreath form. Cut the hanger about two inches past the wreath form. Use the extra two inches to wrap one end of the wire around the form, and the other end around the center hanger wire. Repeat this step on the opposite side. Your wreath form should now resemble a peace sign.
- 5). Trim the pine branches so they vary between four and six inches in length. Arrange them into bundles around the wreath. Pile enough branch clippings into a bundle to cover and fill out the wreath form. Secure the branches together with floral wire. Use a second piece of floral wire to secure the bundles to the wreath form. Work your way around the wreath form, overlapping the ends of the bundles until you have wired bundles to the entire peace sign. Cut any pieces of wire that may be protruding from the wreath before hanging it on a wall or door.
