- 1). Buy or create your own invitations and send them to your guests. Ask guests to RSVP so you know how much food you will need to prepare.
- 2). Decorate side and coffee tables with fall-colored flower arrangements, pumpkins and gourds. You can also find small stuffed turkeys to set around to add to the Thanksgiving atmosphere.
- 3). Make room for games. For instance, games like Pictionary and Charades will require space to move around and draw. If playing video games, make room for everyone near the television.
- 4). Prepare an area for children. Provide age-appropriate movies and games for them.
- 5). Place snacks such as chips, cookies, trail mix and nachos on a buffet style table or a coffee table. Leave drinks in the kitchen to prevent any spills.
- 6). Clear a space for dancing if needed. Play music you know your guests will like.
